The Connection Quality indicator highlights which servers are the most responsive to your machine’s connection. The color next to the server name indicates the overall quality of the connection:
- GREEN is the BEST quality connection and you can expect a very responsive game.
- YELLOW is a GOOD connection, though you might feel some delay between issuing a command and seeing it executed.
- RED is a POOR connection and you can expect a noticeable delay along with potential game stuttering and brief pauses as your connection is interrupted.
You’ll also notice a numerical value next to each server name on PC, which represents the expected ping response of each server. The numbers on the Connection Quality indicator may seem higher than a traditional ping. This is because that number takes into account the time it takes for a message to get to the server and back, plus the time it takes the server and game to respond to the message and generate output back to your machine. You can think of this as the average time it takes between when you issue a command in game, and when that command is carried out.
