Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on PC has an option to adjust the FPS Limit. To do so uncheck the box next to V-Sync in the Advanced Graphics Options menu and then adjust the FPS Limit slider. This new option allows you to manually limit the rate the game will try to run at. You can turn it up to get more performance in multiplayer or turn it down to reduce stress on the computer.
Changes to this setting apply to menus and in-game so expect to see high FPS and GPU usages in menus if the slider is set to Infinite. If you start to experience issues after turning off V-Sync or adjusting the FPS limit, then we recommend trying a different limit or turning on V-Sync again.
We're excited to hear from players about this new feature. Please either reach out to our Support team or let us know what you think in the Age of Empires II: DE forums.
