United States Civilization
This DLC for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition launched on April 13th, 2021.
What does this DLC include?
This DLC adds the United States as a playable civilization. It includes a unique Explorer, Home City, units, buildings, shipment cards, and a State-based age-up system with special bonuses.
Highlights include:
- Brand new United States civilization with its own unique Explorer
- 1 new Historical Battle
- A new Age up mechanic featuring a multitude of upgrades through Federal States
- A new Home City with unlockable United States themed customizations
Mexico Civilization
The Mexico Civilization for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition launched on December 1st, 2021.
What does this DLC include?
The Mexicans offer flexible strategies. Federal State age-ups let you improve your Home City deck as you play. In each Age, you can also choose between two Revolts instead of advancing normally. Each Revolt gives you a new deck and new options, and you can pay to return to a later Age.
Highlights include:
- All new Mexico Civilization with a revolutionary playstyle
- A new revolt system unique to Mexico
- A new Home City with unlockable Mexico-themed customizations
Cosmetic Packs
To celebrate Age of Empires’ 25th anniversary, new cosmetic packs were released to enhance the in-game experience. The packs feature both returning and new heroes from civilizations across the game.
