In-game reporting helps us to maintain a welcoming, friendly, and fair community for everyone by helping to identify and take action against behaviors that violate the Code of Conduct.
We’ve added new and updated messaging that is sent any time a report is submitted in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. We want to make the player reporting process as transparent as possible, while also maintaining the privacy of players.
The messages below are examples of those sent in the game along with more information on when you will see them after making a report.

When you submit a report about behavior that violates the Code of Conduct, the notification above will be shown to confirm that the report has been received and has been sent to the moderation team for review.

If the reported behavior is found to be a violation of the Code of Conduct, then this message will be sent in-game to let you know that the moderation team has taken action based on your report.
A recent report was reviewed and no action was taken at this time.This may be because the violation could not be located or it was not a violation of the Code of Conduct. Action is only taken when a violation can be verified. If you still have a concern or for more information on reporting, visit https://aoe.ms/Age2DE-Report |
There are several different reasons why this message may be received in-game. Some of the possible reasons are:
- The reported behavior did not violate the Code of Conduct.
- More information is needed to verify the reported behavior.
- The reported behavior was unable to be found in-game.
- Action had already been taken based on earlier reports.
If you believe that the behavior did violate the Code of Conduct or have additional information about the report, please contact Support with any additional information on the report and our team will review it again.
Please note that there can be a delay between when a report is sent and notification of the outcome. This means that a notification may be sent for a recent report, while an older report is still being investigated. Depending on the type of behavior reported and volume of reports, notifications may take a few days to be sent in-game.
