If your game routinely has messages pop-up about reconnecting, you might have an issue with the game staying connected to the internet.
🛠 Disable Proxy Settings
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type inetcpl.cpl into the Run window
- Click OK
- Click the Connections tab
- Select Never dial a connection (if available)
- Click LAN settings
- Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN"
- If this setting is already unchecked, try to toggle Automatically detect settings
- Click OK
🛠 Please check that you are remaining connected to the internet
- Run Task Manager
- Go to the Performance tab
- Then launch the game
- You should see continuing activity in your WiFi connection.
If you see the graph stop reporting data at the same time you get this pop-up, you may want to change to a landline connection.
🛠 Please close other internet-intensive applications
Sometimes other applications can take priority internet usage away from your game. If you are unsure if other applications may be internet or network intensive:
- Run Task Manager
- Go to the Processes tab
- Sort the list by Network Usage (you may have to scroll to the right to find this column)
- Then launch the game
If you see another application starting to take a larger percent of your network, it may be causing interference.
🛠 Turn off VPNs
Security settings on some VPNs can prevent some applications, from accessing the internet or downloading updates. Please try disabling your VPN to see if the patch is able to download.
