If your game routinely has messages pop-up about reconnecting, you might have an issue with the game staying connected to the internet.
🛠 Make sure you are on the latest game build.
If an update was released recently, you will need to be on the latest build to play with the rest of the community.
🛠 Make sure your local or campus firewall is not blocking connections.
Make sure the game is allowed so it doesn’t get blocked in the matchmaking lobby.

🛠Log out of your account in game, restart the game, and then log back in.
Be sure that you are logging in with the correct account.
PC specific steps:
🛠 Disable Proxy Settings
- Press Windows Key + R
- Type inetcpl.cpl into the Run window
- Click OK
- Click the Connections tab
- Select Never dial a connection (if available)
- Click LAN settings
- Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN"
- If this setting is already unchecked, try to toggle Automatically detect settings
- Click OK
🛠 Please check that you are remaining connected to the internet
- Run Task Manager
- Go to the Performance tab
- Then launch the game
- You should see continuing activity in your WiFi connection.
If you see the graph stop reporting data at the same time you get this pop-up, you may want to change to a landline connection.
🛠 Check for pending Windows updates.
Verify that there are not any pending Windows updates. While you may be on an up-to-date version of the OS, there may be essential application updates waiting to install. Be sure to restart your device after installing any updates.
🛠 Please close other internet-intensive applications
Sometimes other applications can take priority internet usage away from your game. If you are unsure if other applications may be internet or network intensive:
- Run Task Manager
- Go to the Processes tab
- Sort the list by Network Usage (you may have to scroll to the right to find this column)
- Then launch the game
If you see another application starting to take a larger percent of your network, it may be causing interference.
🛠 Turn off VPNs
Security settings on some VPNs can prevent some applications, from accessing the internet or downloading updates. Please try disabling your VPN to see if the patch is able to download.
🛠 STEAM: Ensure that your Steam account is public and is not hidden or offline.
🛠 XBOX ON PC: Launch the Xbox PC App
Verify that you are showing as online through the Xbox App by logging in there.
🛠 Sync your PC clock.
If the clock is even slightly off, it can interfere with connection to Live Services
