The Known Issues & Solutions page is meant to help provide information regarding high-priority issues, such as those impacting a fair number of players, or that are most disruptive to gameplay.
DisclaimerPlease note that this is not a comprehensive list. This page is reviewed after each Update, Patch and Hotfix. Items in this list may be removed without a fix to make room for higher priority issues. Issues that could be leveraged for an unfair gameplay advantage (AKA exploits) will never be included on this list. |
How do I report a bug?
If you encounter a bug or any other issue that is not on the list below please follow these steps:
- Check our Support pages for common troubleshooting and workaround steps.
- Search the Age IV forums for existing reports to add a comment with your example.
- Start a new thread on the Age IV / Report a Bug forums to report a new issue.
- If you encounter a crash, before you restart the game, please contact our Customer Support team and provide your Warning Logs.

Issues have been marked with a status that best represents their current state:

Fixed | Once the fix is available in the game we will provide a link to the appropriate Release Notes. We will only keep items on this list for about 6 months before removing them. If an issue has been fixed, and you are still encountering it, please reach out to Customer Support. |

Translation errors and inconsistences when reviewing various buff descriptions in Iberian Spanish |

Finnish localization error in the Montgisard time achievement |

Some players who have their game language set to Finnish may encounter a localization error in the Montgisard time achievement. |
Server error when queuing into a Quickplay match |

Some players may encounter a server error when attempting to queue into a Quickplay match if the host player has all gamemodes and all standard teamsizes selected. When this issue occurs, the player will be unable to queue into the match. |
Event rewards are not unlocking after completing a challenge |

We are aware that some players may encounter issues with their event rewards not showing up in their inventory after completing the necessary challenge requirements. If you are encountering this issue, please reach out to the Customer Support team with the name of the reward you are missing, what event it is from, and your Steam ID / Xbox Gamertag. |

We are aware of an issue where some Achievements that have been unlocked on an Xbox live / Microsoft Store account do not carry over when linking to a Steam profile. We do not require additional reports of this issue at this time. |
Custom Terrain Types are not usable with the Terrain Tool when making a crafted map |

We are aware of an issue with the Content Editor where when making a crafted map and utilizing custom terrain types, the custom type cannot be applied using the Terrain Tool. We are investigating this issue, and do not require any further reports. Thank you. |
Jeanne d’Arc’s Strength of Heaven Buff Disappears when Upgrading a Buffed Unit |

We are aware that the visual effect of Jeanne d’Arc’s Strength of Heaven ability disappears when the buffed unit is upgraded to its next tier (Hardened, Veteran, Elite, etc.). This is purely a visual issue, and the buff continues to be applied to the unit. We do not require any further reports of this issue. |
Ayyubid House of Wisdom does not allow for additional Wings when starting in Age 2 or Later |

We are aware of an issue that impacts the Ayyubid's House of Wisdom when starting the game in the Feudal Age (II), Castle Age (III), or Imperial Age (IV). When starting in these ages, the House of Wisdom does not account for any skipped ages and allow additional Wings to be built (like it does with its parent civilization, the Abbasid). We are tracking this issue and do not require any additional reports of this issue. |
Monarch's do not spawn when loading a Single Player map |

Couldn't edit or save item error message |

We are aware of an the error message "Couldn't edit or save item" appearing when trying to equip any earned Event reward or Season reward. Some players may also receive notification's regarding unlocked rewards, but those rewards do not appear in the profile inventory to access. This issue is currently under investigation at this time and we do not require any additional information. |
