This error usually appears if your GPU drivers are detected as being out of date. The error can be dismissed but may appear on subsequent launches of the game. If you are receiving this popup, and are experiencing crashes or issues with gameplay or just want to resolve the popup, we suggest using the steps below:
🛠 Manually Check for Updates to your Video Drivers
It is possible for your machine to be set to detect automatic updates, but not receive the latest updates. We recommend manually checking for updates to your drivers using these steps. First, check what video card and drivers you are running using the DxDiag command. Once you know what hardware you’re using, you can download the appropriate drivers from the web:
- Nvidia Video Card Drivers: https://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
- ATI Video Card Drivers: https://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
- Intel Drivers: https://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/graphics
- Laptop video drivers are dependent on and obtained from your laptop’s manufacturer.
If your video card manufacturer is not listed here, please check that manufacturer's website.
🛠 Check that your GPU is Meeting Min-spec
This message can also be triggered if you are using a GPU that is below the minimum technical specification, particularly if your GPU is no longer supported by its manufacturer. Please compare your GPU against the GPUs listed under the minimum technical specifications; if your GPU is older or less powerful than the ones listed, then you are not meeting min-spec.
