Overview
The Playback controls allow you to Pause, Play, Stop, and Reset the scene of your map.
This can be useful for seeing an accurate representation of how your map will look like in-game, including unit animations, smoke, flowing water, waving grass, and similar effects.
If your map has any scripted events such as unit patrols or pre-set actions, the Playback controls will cause these events to play out in real-time.
By default, the Playback controls can be found on the right side of the Content Editor interface, below the Properties panel.
Displaying the Playback Panel
If the Playback controls are not appearing in your Editor Interface, they can be manually opened through: Main Menu > View > Playback
Playback Controls
The playback controls are relatively straightforward, consisting of Play, Pause, Stop, and Reset functions.
The Play button will begin the playback of your map.
You can see the time stamp of your map's current playback displayed underneath the Play button.
The Pause button will begin halt the playback of your map at its current timestamp.
The Stop button will halt and reset the playback to the 0.00 marker.
The Reset button will reset the playback to the 0.00 marker, but allow the scenario to keep playing from that point.
